How to use the ESP.Culturo Illustrator template:

1. Open the template in illustrator

2. Use the Brush tool (shortcut: B) to draw a line:

   

3. Select the line and change the brush to the thick green one from the brush panel:

   

4. Draw your art work, using the Brush tool (shortcut: B).

5. You should only use the colours from the strokes above the art board. Use the Eye dropper tool (shortcut: I) to choose colours from the strokes:

   

6. When you’re finished with the art work, save as illustrator file (ai) or as eps:

   

7. Email the final file(s) to [email protected]

Illustration themes:

The intention behind ESP.Culturo is to comment on themes such as peace, inclusion and social issues through drawing and writing. Therefore, the illustrations should be based on something within these themes. They do not have to be literal in any way however (you could for example draw something abstract that visualises joy or peace to you).

If you want to share the rational behind the illustration(s), please feel free to attach these + the name of the art work in your email. Please do also say wether you’d like to remain anonymous or not.

PS:

• You are welcome to create more artboards if you wish (or to simply use the template several times to create a range of files).
• You don't necessarily have to use the dimensions of the white artboard - the drawing can be as tall or as wide as you like (or maybe even round?).
